Kennebec House is a completely renovated older home, located in the downtown area of Bar Harbor, Maine, on Kennebec Street, just off Cottage Street and two blocks from Main Street. It has all modern conveniences and is beautifully furnished on two floors. Kennebec house is rented by the week as a single dwelling during the late spring, summer, and fall months and sometimes is available for longer term rentals, from three to six months at a time, during the winter months. There are no rental accommodations in Bar Harbor closer to the center of town! Dogs are welcome.

Kennebec House is dog-friendly. You are welcome to bring one or two small or medium-sized dogs. (But, sorry, no cats!)

Once on the island, dogs usually want to come back.

If you are already familiar with Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, there is no need to dwell on the incomparable beauty of the island. But here are a few pictures to jog your memory and entice newcomers.
