Kennebec House is a completely renovated older home, located in the downtown area of Bar Harbor, Maine, on Kennebec Street, just off Cottage Street and two blocks from Main Street. It has all modern conveniences and is beautifully furnished on two floors. Kennebec house is rented by the week as a single dwelling during the late spring, summer, and fall months and sometimes is available for longer term rentals, from three to six months at a time, during the winter months. There are no rental accommodations in Bar Harbor closer to the center of town! Dogs are welcome.

Two miles from the fast ferry to Yarmouth, Nova Scotia
Just across the street from a DVD/VCR rental outlet
Two blocks from the terminal of the Island Explorer, the Acadia free shuttle that travels to many points of interest in the park and elsewhere.

All weekly rentals of Kennebec House include utilities, kitchen equipment, cable TV, DVD/VCR, telephone, bedding and towels. (Telephone provides local service only.)

Kennebec House is dog-friendly. You are welcome to bring one or two small or medium-sized dogs. (But, sorry, no cats!)

Once on the island, dogs usually want to come back.
